Hi Monarch Sophomores,
HOBY’s flagship program, the State Leadership Seminar, empowers high school sophomores to develop their leadership talents to become the leaders of their community. The seminar curriculum is based on the Social Change Model of Leadership and develops leadership from three perspectives: Personal Leadership, Group Leadership, and Leadership for Society.
Are you interested in attending the HOBY Leadership Conference during June 2019? If so, Please come to the counseling office to pick up an application. The school can nominate up to five students. The top applicant will receive a scholarship from Monarch and attend the conference free of cost. Four additional applicants will be able to attend at a cost of $395 to their families.

Candidates will be judged on
1) Academic Performance
2) Demonstrated Leadership Skills
3) Participation in extracurricular activities through MOHI and the surrounding community
5) Teacher Recommendation
