As we near the end of the school year, the PTSO would like to thank all the volunteers that have donated time, money, and encouragement to the PTSO. School clubs and organizations are only as good as their volunteers, and I think we have the best of the best!
At our April meeting, we put forth the following nominations for our PTSO board for 2015-16. These will be voted on at our May 8 meeting at 11:30 a.m., in the main office conference room:

We are still looking for a fundraising chair to head up our fall fundraiser, and a social events chair to send out notices about food for teachers at conference time. If you think you might want to know more about these, please contact Kelli Gambee–248-787-2641, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’ve had a great year covering some interesting topics at our meetings. We have learned about Common Core, about math curriculum, Post Grad Center, and how our counselors select courses for our students. We had the Boulder Valley Credit Union come in to talk about financial literacy for students. We helped give input into the Monarch High School mission statement, and had students talk about FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America). If you have suggestions for topics that you would like to hear about at a PTSO meeting, please let me know. My goal for our meetings is that they be informative and relevant.
