Boys’ Soccer Team Wraps Up Season in State Tournament

For the third year in a row, the soccer team earned a spot in the 5A state tournament after a challenging season in the Front Range League. Highlights leading up to the postseason play were wins over Loveland, Mountain Range, and Poudre as well as Senior Night when Principal Anderson introduced our seniors:

Edward Alder, Brody Austin, Luke Barnocky, Thomas Bridge, Conner Eamon, Kevin Gorman, Tommy Harlow, Macklin Harrington, Corbin Hoppe, Conner Horn, JD Inge, Anderson Mun, Will Mutter, Dillon Sain, James Seaward, Jacob Sehnert, and Tenzin Tashi.

The final game of the season came against 9th seeded Arapahoe on October 26th. Lady luck was on the side of Arapahoe as they overcame a red card and forced Monarch to concede 2 penalty kicks in the 0-3 loss. As they did throughout the whole season, the seniors provided strong leadership and motivation to the final minute of play.

JV concluded their season with a record of 7-6 including wins in the final third of season over Loveland, Poudre, and Rocky Mountain. C team finished with a record of 1-9-3, beating Peak to Peak and tying Legacy, Mountain Range, and Boulder.

Thank you to our coaches Varsity: Balen Arenas, JV: John Cole and C Team: Kevin Arnold for their time and dedication this fall to our program and our boys.
